Which of these ingredients in cosmetics or skincare is not good?

I had an allergic reaction to eyeliner with these ingredients, as well as face moisturizer. Which ones could be irritating me?

I have an interesting article at work about such ingredients and the health problems they can cause in women. Many are listed above. You should do an Internet search for something like... health concerns with cosmetic ingredients...and you will find informative websites. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find cosmetics that don't contain the above you have listed.


Ironically, I recently purchased a conditioning stick for protecting my pet's paws in the snow and it has only the best ingredients - all natural! I think I may try it on myself as a moisturizer, ha ha.Which of these ingredients in cosmetics or skincare is not good?

oh my goodness! every single ingredient is a harsh chemical! you can google each ingredient and pull up the msds sheets which tell you exactly, first of all, it contains parabens, a cheap synthetic preserving chemical which gives shelf life, parabens are actually being shown to cause cancer and have been banned in Europe. Sodium Laurel Sulfate is one of the worst, it is actually an industrial degreaser! why do you want that on your face??? Honestly, do not use this makeup anymore, besides what it is doing visibly, it is doing worse inside, accumulating in your bloodstream and fatty tissue and over time will cause illness and cancer.
I can't tell you which one made you have a reaction, but I can tell you which ones didn't. Titanium Dioxide is used in spf mineral make ups, Glycerine is for moisture, Xanthan Gum is to hold the product together. If I had to guess I would say the Petrolatum because it is an oil derived.
